Quarterfinal Betting Picks — Odds, Value and Predictions

Four quarterfinals across three days, and with Canada out this is a neutral’s round — which is often when the coldest, most disciplined bets get made. The card opens with France–Morocco today and closes with a Saturday double-header out of Miami and Kansas City. Below I walk each tie, give the decimal price and Canadian kickoff time, and land on the angle I would actually take. Two of the four favourites are short enough that the value sits elsewhere, and one underdog price genuinely tempts me. As always, I would rather pass than chase a line that has already moved.

France vs Morocco — Today, 4:00 PM ET, Foxborough

France are 1.56 to 1.59, the draw 3.80 to 3.95, Morocco 6.00 to 6.90. France won all six of their matches but ground past Paraguay 1–0 in the last 16, and Tchouaméni is a serious doubt in midfield. Morocco are unbeaten and beat Canada 3–0 to get here. At sub-1.60 I do not want the France moneyline; the value is Morocco to keep it tight — a one-goal handicap on the underdogs, or the draw at better than 3.80 as insurance on a France attack that has stalled in the knockouts. Spain vs Belgium — July 10, 3:00 PM ET, Los Angeles

Spain are 1.61, the draw 4.00, Belgium 5.25. This is the tie where the favourite’s price makes most sense to me. Spain have four clean sheets in a row and just two goals conceded all tournament, they have won six of seven career meetings with Belgium, and Belgium lost Onana to a tournament-ending injury against the USA. At 1.61 Spain are backable, but the sharper play given that defence is the under and a Spain clean-sheet/win double rather than the flat moneyline. Norway vs England — July 11, 5:00 PM ET, Miami

England are 1.85 to 1.95, the draw 3.50, Norway out at 3.80 — and this is the tie I like most for value. England are the favourites but arrive with a real crisis: Quansah suspended, Henderson out with a wrist fracture, Reece James a doubt, all in the same defensive area Haaland will target. Norway have Haaland on seven tournament goals and just knocked out Brazil. “We should be favourites to beat Norway but it’s going to be tough,” Gary Neville said, and I agree with the second half more than the first. At 3.80 Norway are a live underdog; I would take them on the double chance or a small outright at that price. Argentina vs Switzerland — July 11, 9:00 PM ET, Kansas City

Argentina are 1.71 to 1.80, the draw 3.50, Switzerland 5.25. Messi leads the tournament on eight goals and Argentina have won five of seven meetings with the Swiss, but they have conceded in each of their last three and needed a 3–2 escape past Egypt. Switzerland are through on penalties past Colombia and have conceded just three all tournament, with Kobel in fine form in goal. At 1.71–1.80 Argentina are fair rather than generous; I lean small on Argentina to win with Messi involved in a goal, but Switzerland +1 at 5.25 outright is not a crazy insurance play given how they defend. How I Would Stake the Round

Two short favourites I would not back flat (France, Argentina), one favourite whose price I do like as part of a defensive double (Spain), and one underdog I genuinely rate (Norway at 3.80).
